20 December: International Human Solidarity Day

International Human Solidarity Day, celebrated annually on 20 December, was established by the United Nations to underline the importance of unity and shared responsibility among all nations and peoples in working towards common goals and addressing global challenges.

This important day was formally recognised by the United Nations in 2005, reflecting the growing interconnectedness of the world and the need for global solidarity. It serves as a call to action for individuals, communities and nations to promote a sense of common purpose and work together to address pressing issues such as poverty, inequality, climate change and the protection of human rights.

EPSULA's objectives embody a commitment to solidarity based on the principles of cooperation, mutual support and the pursuit of a more equitable and sustainable world. It also stresses the importance of international cooperation to address common challenges that transcend borders and affect people all over the world.
